Kazakhstan’s GDP will grow by 5-7% a year in 2009-2011, according to a draft
three-year central budget.
The draft expects the world oil price to
stand at $60 per barrel in this period and forecasts the country’s GDP to total
KZT17,900bn ($149bn) in 2009, KZT20,800bn ($173bn) in 2010 and KZT24,100bn
($201bn) in 2011.
Budget revenue will stand at respectively
at KZT3,160bn ($26.3bn), KZT3,643bn ($30.4bn) and KZT3,987bn ($33.2bn) and
spending KZT3,700bn ($30.8bn), KZT4,270bn ($35.6bn) and KZT4,470bn ($37.3)
Deficit is expected to be KZT539bn ($4.5bn),
KZT626bn ($5.2bn) and KZT483bn ($4bn) or 3%, 3% and 2% of projected GDP.
Inflation is expected at 8.5-10.5% in 2009,
7-9% in 2010 and 6.5-8.6% in 2011.
